El Fasher — United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) reports that two of its peacekeepers have gone missing on 20 August in North Darfur. The incident, which took place in the town of Kabkabiya, located approximately 140 kilometers west of El Fasher, is being investigated by the Mission and the Government of the Sudan.
UNAMID will convey more details as they become available.
