Caála — The operation of Ngove Dam in Caála district, central Huambo province, enabled to generate over 200 new jobs for youth.
This was said to Angop on Wednesday by the administrative director of Cunene River Basin, Armindo Mário Gomes da Silva.
According to him, the construction works of the infrastructure, with capacity to produce 60 megawatts of power for the cities of Caála, Huambo and Kuito (Bié), are estimated at USD 279.0 million.
He said that in 2008 it employed more than 1000 youth without any Professional training, who were trained later at Ngove dam Centre by the construction company of Odebrecth.
