Uganda/Malawi: Youth Shine in Stars Show

Uganda's U-17 girls continued to impress with a 3-1 victory over Malawi in the Airtel Rising Stars African football championship at St. Mary's Lavington ground in Nairobi yesterday.

Winnie Babirye opened the scoring before Malia Phalula put Malawi level.

Christine Ejang restored Uganda's lead before scoring the third goal after the break.

The Ugandans, poised to advance from pool A, had beaten Sierra Leone 3-0 in their opening match on Tuesday.
