Nigeria: Igawa Spends N2.5 Billion On Scholarship

The Jigawa State government says it spent N2. 5 billion on different scholarship programmes for its students from 2007 to date.

State Commissioner of Education Prof. Haruna Wakili said in Dutse yesterday at the inauguration of the new site of Dutse Model International School that between 2011 and 2012 no fewer than 307 students from the state were sponsored abroad to study Medicine, Engineering, ICT and Islamic studies.
