Muhoozi recently completed a prestigious military course in South Africa.

Some of the senior army officers in Uganda who have received similar training at the same college are Brigadier Paul Lokech, the commander of Uganda's contingent in Somalia, and Colonel Apollo Kasita Gowa, the commandant of Senior Command and Staff College Kimaka.

Muhoozi described the course as very intense. "You spend 22 weeks studying national security until it is coming out of your ears. This is advantageous because while here you study national security trends in Africa and seeing where Africa will be in the next few decades...."
