Egypt: Nation Welcomes Russia's Membership At WTO

Egypt welcomes Russia's finally joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) after 18 years of negotiations, a senior official at the Foreign Trade and Industry Ministry has said.

Egypt had agreed on Russia's membership two years ago, said head of the agreements department Saied Abdullah in statements to Middle East News Agency (MENA) on Monday27/8/2012.

Hopefully this will put an end to many obstacles facing Egyptian exports to Russia and help activate inter-trade, Abdullah said.

Once this agreement is signed trade movement will be exempted from tariffs, he noted.
