U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE
STATEMENT BY VICTORIA NULAND, SPOKESPERSON
Execution of Nine Death Row Inmates in The Gambia
The United States is greatly concerned by the Government of The Gambia's execution of nine death row inmates. We condemn the lack of transparency and haste under which these executions were effected and the apparent lack of due process in the proceedings leading to these death sentences.
The United States calls on the Government of The Gambia to ensure that its own internal laws are respected and followed, and to uphold its international obligations under the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights and the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The United States calls on President Jammeh to immediately halt all executions in order to review all of The Gambia's capital cases and ensure that they are in accordance with The Gambia's domestic law and its international obligations.

America your statement to the Gambia government is laughable when one reads it. Set an example for yourself. Your internal and external laws. None of these are favourable to human right. You not dealing with human right but your interest right from the whole world. What is human right and how you performing it? You have a law of death penalty, is it? Do you have right to do that? and why are you doing it? How many people you killed innocently internaly and externally. The world supper powers are distabilizing the freedom of the world but they take the interest of themself and that what they call freedom and human right. We Gambian dont want to live in state of criminals killing people in town. Yahya Jammeh dont kill them without a reason. He has a reason like you have reasons of invading other states and killing them of no ground. Leave Gambia in Peace and let peace and stability of the nation go ahead. No comment but look upon your doings. Thank you mr supper power.
The whole world condemn the USA death panalty too. The whole world condemn the USA invading other countries innocently and killing the young ones and old ones. USA has nothing to say about this issue. People know the killing you doing in this world. Dismiss your death penalty law, and Gambia will delete it too. You have the right to practise it but Gambia not. USA solve the flood and fire problem in your states. Those 9 people executed have killed member familes. The Gambia law dont kill them innocently. They have killed human beings too and their we must kill them no matter where you come from. The brutal criminal killing in Senegal will not be tolerate in the Gambia. Fuck those who are against the execution. You dont think of those people who were killed by the executed people. So if you kill you must free and thats human right? Fuck human right. Who is performing human right in this world? None at all. Gambia protect your country never allow criminals to kill in town. Who killed kill him live and direct. Should we forget those people killed by them? Are they not human beings? what do you mean human right? When some one kills he should be free? What step did senegal government took when most od the senegalise are killed in Italy few months ago? What step did senegal took when German police killed a senegalise lady in Aschaffenburg German? If you dont comply to the laws of the particular country you living, you must be a failure. The rampant bandid killing night and day in senegal will not be tolerated in Gambia. The senegalise lady has killed some one in Gambia therefore, the Gambia government has right to deal with her. This is what international law is all about. Let Macky Sall go and complain to the Italian government first rather than saying something to person killed by killing some one else. The Law of Gambia didnt kill them innocently. They have killed other human beings. Who killed kill him/her period. Nonse talk You people even dont know whats human right. You are NAFIQ and JAHILS. You should have collapse to dead not only schocking. You dont shock when you hear what those people they killed did? They killed othe human beings. Are you mad to leave them alive? You must be crazy human right. You dont know what human right is. Go and learn what human right is all about.
Please take time and read the first paragraph of the US release. i dont blame you much may be the language there is your problem too. But think about it and ask yourself, Its the law; YES! but has it really been carried out the way in which the law says it should be!! Did the law of execution ask the government to carry it out behind close doors with letting those 9 death row inmates meeting there loved ones and without informing the government of other nationals officially!!!, Am nor politician but yes am against the move cause it was done the wrong way!!!
You are very stupid Mr colley! The US says the transperency of how the execution has been carried out is what they questioning! You embesil!! The constitution killed this people, dont forget this same constitution gave these people a final moment meeting with loved ones! Has the government made the necessary arrangements, like officially informing Senegal there nationals are to be executed! Dont be stupid thinking like a child! There are ways in which executiins should done, not behind close doors!! Reason before you make certain comments!! How many stuffs are in that constitution that are not been c carried out! Did your countitution say kill those who dont kill!
ntry give any right to charge someone for treason for printing a T-shirt and following freedom of speech and wrote what he feels like!!! How can you sentence such people to death!
