Luau — A new Customs Service Office was inaugurated Wednesday in the municipality of Luau, eastern Moxico province, by the national director of the institution, Silvio Francisco Burity.
The Office is comprised of several compartments, including a warehouse, support centre, meeting halls and others. Silvio Burity also visited the site where will be built a warehouse of goods from the border post with the Democratic Republic of Congo (12 kilometres from the town of Luau).
Luau acting administrator, Mahongo Nora Isaac, stressed the importance of municipal duties, taking into account the entry and exit of various goods according to the customs procedures required internationally. Luau is one of the nine districts of Moxico bordering the DRC and it is located 334 kilometers of Luena, the provincial capital city.
