Egypt: Nation, China Back Establishing Palestinian State Within 1967 Borders, Al-Quds As Its Capital

Egypt and China voice their support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian State within the 1967 borders and with al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as its capital.

In a joint statement on Thursday 30/8/2012 to mark the end of President Mohamed Morsi's three-day official visit to China, the two countries also welcomed Palestine's participation in the United Nations and other international organizations.

The Egyptian and Chinese side also backed reaching a swift political solution to the Syrian crisis, rejecting foreign military interference in the country, the statement added.
