Nigeria: Ethiopian Airline Launches B787 Dreamliner in Abuja

Ethiopian national carrier, Ethiopian Airline launched Africa's first Boeing 787 in Abuja Wednesday. Passengers, tour operators and journalists were given a tour of the aircraft which made its debut trip to Nigeria at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

For the management team of the airline, it is a big break in their industry.

Traffic and Sales Manager of the Airline, Mr. Mulugeta Zewdu, said, "Ethiopian Airline is proud to be the second airline in the world, next to Japan to present the first ever Boeing 787 aircraft into the world of aviation.

"The Boeing 787 Dreamliner has such distinct features as spacious seat, more leg room, big luggage compartments, largest window ever on any commercial airplane, conducive cabin environment with high humidity and clean air with less noise as well as fuel efficiency. All these will make flying tireless."

Zewdu said the addition of the aircraft would enhance the airline's endeavour to provide "an entirely different passenger experience."
