Angola: Monument Honours Truck Drivers in Lobito

Benguela — The country's truck drivers, particularly of Benguela Province, were honoured on Wednesday with a monument inaugurated by the local governor, Armando da Cruz Neto.

The "Truck drivers monument" is built in their honour, at Boavista roundabout, in Lobito City.

According to the authorities of Lobito, Boavista roundabout was the point of trucks concentration during the civil war period, from Lobito they left for various interior areas of the country transporting goods, especially from Lobito port.
