Rwanda/Burundi: Solidarity Reaches Final - Ape Rugunga Kod

SOLIDARITY Academy reached the final of the girls' football tournament at the East African Post-Primary Games (FEASSA), which ends today in Bujumbura, Burundi.

Solidarity managed by coach Grace Nyinawumuntu, stormed the final after defeating Kenya's Tartar 4-2 on penalties after normal regulation time ended in a 3-all draw.

Solidarity Academy, who boast players who feature for AS Kigali in the national women league, take on Uganda's Kawempe Muslim School in today's final.

Kawempe Muslim School beat Remera Rukoma of Rwanda 5-4 on penalties following a 2-all draw.

In the boys' category, APE Rugunga were shocked 2-0 in the semifinal by Burundi's E.T.S Gitega.

E.T Gitega will now face defending champions St. Mary Kitende of Uganda, who booked their place in the final after ejecting Kenya's St. Anthony 3-2.

Both APE Rugunga and Remera Rukoma are set to battle for play-offs against St. Anthony and Tartar schools of Kenya.

In boys' volleyball, Group Scolaire de Butare cruised to the final after beating Burundi's E.T. S Gitega 3-1 and they will now face Kenya's Cheptir, who ousted Lycee de Nyanza 3-0.

In Handball, Eseki Ruhango and Apapeki Cyuru face teams from Lubiri secondary school in the final.
