President Paul Kagame on Friday met with Tony Blair who was on a two-day visit to Rwanda. Blair also met with staff from the Africa Governance Initiative (AGI), working with the government of Rwanda.
Kagame and Blair discussed Rwanda's progress in reducing poverty, and the government of Rwanda's efforts to build the capacity of the public sector to achieve the country's development goals.
AGI supports these efforts as part of the innovative Strategic Capacity Building Initiative (SCBI) launched last year.
Blair also met with Finance Minister, John Rwangombwa and the Rwandan young professionals and international experts recruited as part of the SCBI.
