Lagos — Though 58 families of the Dana Air crash victims have accessed the initial $30,000 insurance claims, the majority haven't accessed a dime because of multiple claimants and other documentation issues.
The 58 families can't even get the full $100,000 claim because of lack of death certificate and letters of administration.
On June 3 this year Dana plane crashed at Olaniyi Street, off Toyin, Iju Agege, Lagos State killing all 153 passengers on-board and 10 on ground.
The Deputy Director, Administration and Policy, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Mr Leo Akah who gave an update at the 2012 NAICOM Seminar for Insurance Correspondents in Calabar said all families with proper documents will be paid their compensation fully.
