Liberia: An Oath to Serve Liberia and the People of Liberia

Last week was very hectic for the President of the Republic of Liberia, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, as on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of last week, she conducted an important act of state. She administered the oath of office to a large number of senior government officials including three Cabinet Ministers, all Deputy Ministers, heads of autonomous agencies and some senior Liberian ambassadors abroad as well as to all assistant ministers and the superintendents of Liberia's 15 counties.

It all started on Monday evening when the remaining cabinet ministers that have not yet been commissioned, namely the Minister of Commerce Madam Miatta Beyslow, the Minister of Public Works Samuel Kofi Woods ll, and the Minister of Education Dr. Etmonia Tarpeh came forward.
