Antonio Coelho was speaking to Angop on Wednesday about actions that will be implemented in Angola, under the recommendations and resolutions emerged from the XIX International Conference on AIDS held in Washington DC, United States, from 22-27 July this year.
The official spoke of the need to identify, diagnose and early treat the elements linked to tuberculosis, a disease closely associated with the above syndrome, in order to achieve an integrated treatment.
Antonio Coelho stated that there is also need to enhance the screening of the virus, by implementing campaigns focusing on active counseling and connecting to the services of prevention, support and treatment.
According to him, one of the commitments that emerged from the XIX International Conference on AIDS is to accelerate research in new ways of prevention of the disease and methods of treatment.
