Gambia: Latrikunda Edge Out Neighbours Sticklers

Latrikunda beat neighbours Stickers 1-0 on a rainy Saturday evening at the ongoing Serekunda West 2012 Nawettan season. The game's only goal was scored in the 73rd minute after Muhammed Jatta was put through by Yaya Agyemang.

Elsewhere on Monday at the Serekunda West Mini-Stadium, Hapapa bounced back from last week's 3-2 defeat in the hands of giants Tigers to earn a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Camble Town in a group A encounter. Hapapa opened the scorings in the early minutes of the first half through Ebrima Mendy who was making his first start this season before Abubacarr Sambou extended their lead in the 23rd minute. Cambel Town reduced the deficit to 2-1 with a goal of its own two minutes before the break through Alfusainey Jaiteh.

Cambel's goal towards the end of the interval set up a nervy second half for Hapala, but despite frantic efforts to ensure parity, Hapala held on and secured all three points with a last minute goal from substitute Abdou Jeng.
