Zimbabwe: Touts Run Amok at City Bus Terminus

Touts popularly known as "mandimbandimba" yesterday ran amok in the city and assaulted kombi crews at the Charge Office bus terminus for resisting to pay protection fees. This comes shortly after Zanu-PF chairman for Chadcombe-Msasa district Cde Itai Badze, was also assaulted by the touts at Fourth Street rank for interceding on behalf of kombi operators.

Police spokesperson chief inspector James Sabau said they held a meeting yesterday with representatives of operators to stop the skirmishes.
