Nigeria: Akanbi Alleges Executive Interference in ICPC, EFCC

Former Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Justice Mustapha Akanbi, Thursday said the alleged interference of the executive in the operations of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the ICPC which has had adverse effect in the fight against corruption in the country.

Akanbi's submission also came on a day the ICPC said it would establish a Forensic Laboratory for effective performance of its statutory mandate.
