Liberia/Ghana: Lonestar Cell MTN Sponsors Liberia-Ghana Friendship Match

Liberia's National Soccer Team the Lone Star will on Tuesday September 11, 2012 play the Ghana's Black Stars at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville in a friendly dubbed Presidential Friendship Cup 2012. Both teams are preparing for the AFCON's final qualifier, which is scheduled to take place in South Africa, next year.

The one day football fiesta is being organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Liberia Football Association, under the proud Sponsorship of Lone Star Cell MTN, Liberia's leader in converged telecommunications services and partner of choice, to promote friendship between the peoples of the two West African Nations.

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has donated a giant size trophy to be lifted high by the winner after 90 minutes of play. Ghana values its friendship with Liberia, so a contingent comprising all Ghana top stars will make the trip to Liberia. Who wins the President's cup?
