Liberia: Management - New Dawn Will Not Succumb to PUL

The Management of the New Dawn newspaper says the paper will not succumb to what it calls the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) continued campaign to bring its name into public ridicule.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the paper's Managing Editor, Mr. Othello B. Garblah, said the paper will not also adhere to the PUL's much publicized request that it should retract the story on Sen. Dan Morias in which he said the paper's reporter gave a descriptive account of his experience in covering an allegation linking Morias to alleged kidnapping and Gboyo activities.
