Kenya: Garissa Students Storm Headteachers' House

Student from Garissa Boys secondary school yesterday took to the streets claiming the school is being poorly managed. Students stormed the principal's Isaack Mohamed Adan house and demanded he be transferred. They also said last term's mock exams were poorly prepared. The students have not reported to school after they were sent following another riot in August.

The students said the principal called the police to the school during the August fracas for no good reason. They said the riot was "too small to warrant a police intervention". They accused the school's board of governors of corruption and demanded its dissolution. The students said the administration not concerned about their woes.
