Initiated to encourage and nurture talents in young children who otherwise will not have an avenue to develop their talents outside the four walls of a school, the idea of the Children's Creative Station is for talented children to be able to follow their dreams and explore other latent endowments. It was a month-long journey of discovery for the collection of children involved in the project who are from different backgrounds and walks of lives and it is hoped that teamwork ethic, friendship bond and positive impact on them will make them better and more inclined in the arts.

According to the Director, Drama at the National Troupe of Nigeria, Josehine Igberaese; the project presents a platform "where the creative talents of the children are encouraged, explored and nurtured. Three years have passed since the 1st edition of the Creative Station in 2010."
