Sudan: Kutum Residents Demand Security Circle Expansion

Kutum — Kutum residents demand an expansion of the security circle, to include surrounding villages and both Kassab and Fatta Barno camps. In addition, they demand re-installment of the judicial and police apparatus as soon as possible.

Sheikh Taher Ismail, head of Kassab camp, told Radio Dabanga: "the lesson is not in decision-making, but in the implementation of the decisions". He pointed out that the Governor of North Darfur, Osman Kibir, took more than four decisions and made a number of agreements since the outbreak of the recent atrocities without implementing them so far.
