Tanzania: Push for Better Access to Natural Resources Benefits

CONSERVATIONISTS in the country are plotting to make the most of the constitution review process by advocating the inclusion, into the new document, of the view that communities get better access to natural resources and its benefits.

The WWF Kenya Species Programme Manager, Dr Noah Sitati, told the 'Daily News' over the weekend during a Community Based Natural Resources Management (CBNRM) workshop organised by the Tanzania Natural Resource Forum that their new constitution has these provisions and Tanzania can do the same.
