Since late last year, Bank of Kigali has been planning to expand its operations to other East African Community member countries and perhaps beyond.

This planned expansion by Rwanda's largest commercial bank by total assets and market share comes at the time when the bank has virtually saturated the local market with new products and extensive branch network. This has clearly positioned the bank ahead of competition at home as evident in the huge profit margins that BK has raked in over the past couple of years.
