SENIOR national cricket team exited the ICC World Cricket League Division 4 on a disappointing fashion after suffering a five-wicket defeat to hosts, Malaysia, in a play-off at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, on Monday.
It was the second consecutive defeat for Tanzania at the hands of the hosts, who commanded a win of similar margin over the former at the Selangore Turf Club on Sunday. Malaysia won the toss and elected to bowl first and Tanzania showcased some flashes of batting tenacity to post 187 runs all out in 49.4 overs after having been given chance to bat first.
