Nigeria: Lead Poisoning - Ministry Yet to Receive N650 Million Intervention Fund

The Minister of Mines and Steel Development Arch. Musa Muhammad Sada has said his ministry is yet to received the "N650m" approved intervention fund for tackling the Lead Poisoning in Zamfara State.

The Minister made the stamen yesterday in Abuja while reacting to a "media report" that the ministry has since collected the money and diverted it. Speaking through the ministry's permanent secretary Mr. Linus Awuta the Minister of Mines, the Minster confirmed that they wrote an application for the money and it has been approved.
