Kenya: Assistant Minister Charged Over Tana Violence

President Kibaki has dismissed Galole MP Dhadho Godhana as Livestock assistant minister. Godhana was yesterday charged in a Nairobi court with incitement to violence as President Kibaki ordered police to end the violence in Tana River that has left 120 people dead.

The retired army major and assistant Livestock Development minister allegedly incited the communities by uttering words meant to cause death or physical injury to residents of Tana Delta.
