Tunisia: Fifth French-Tunisian Organic Chemistry Days Start

Hammamet — Works of the Fifth French-Tunisian Organic Chemistry Days started, on Wednesday in Hammamet, at the initiative of Tunisia's Chemical Company in association with France's Chemical Company.

The three-day scientific meeting, attended by experts from Tunisia, France, Algeria and Saudi Arabia, will be reviewing scientific innovations in the field of organic chemistry and its various applications, namely in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food-processing, electronic and oil industries.

The attendees will also focus on new resources of organic chemistry which make use of plant products and its important role in manufacturing medicines extracted from wild and sea plants.

The meeting will also look at "green chemistry" and research breakthroughs in this area, given its importance in protecting environment against the dangers of traditional chemistry.
