Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has hailed the qualities of sensational winger Christian Atsu. The 20-year-old has earned rave reviews after his man-of-the match performance during Saturday's African Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi.

The Porto playmaker dubbed as the new 'Lione Messi' terrorized the defensive network of The Flames with some sweeping skills that got him many admirers.

The Marseille winger who was a pale shadow of himself lauded the quality of the exciting winger and tipped him for greatness.

"I want to congratulate all my teammates for a hard-fought victory and hopefully we'll go to Malawi and ensure qualification," Ayew said

"Atsu played well and has a great future ahead of him if he continues to play like that. I was happy for him because he knows how to take on defenders and everyone should watch out for him."
