Liberia: Sime Darby Differs With Teahjay

Sime Darby Plantation Liberia (SDPL) Incorporated has denied claims of impropriety in its relations with Counselor Alfred Brownell and Green Advocates (GA). The company was responding to a statement allegedly made by Sinoe County Superintendent J. Milton Teahjay on ELBC Radio September 3, 2012.

Though the statement issued by Sime Darby Wednesday did not throw lights on the specific claims said to have been made by Superintendent Teahjay, it however expressed fears that his comments may derail the process and undermine the prospects for economic transformation through large scale oil palm plantation development in Liberia.
