Kenya: Blackmail Cannot Build Sound Parties

Call it what you may, but political blackmail is not a particularly novel incursion into Kenya's political landscape. That's why its latter-day practitioners; those who perpetually want to hold others at ransom in exchange of political support ought to review their stance before this disease becomes a malignant cancer in the country. I will tell you in why shortly, but first some snippets from the history.

Once upon a time, such blackmailing expressly designed for cheap political gain only occurred once in a blue moon. Yet the frequency with which we see them today, can only be compared to the greed with which chicken has become such a common food item on the 'nouveu-riche' tables, instead of being a reserve for Christmas (or in-laws visit- as our ancestors preferred).
