South Africa: Trial of Trio Alleged to Have Defrauded Department of Labour Resumes

Three former employees of the Department of Labour's (DoL) Compensation Fund (CF) allegedly accused of defrauding the department about half-a-million rand are to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Friday 14 September 2012.

Maxwell Ramaphosa, Samuel Elliot Mfeleng and Kgabo Johanna Methi are out on warning and face three counts of fraud and 14 counts of money laundering involving R476 150, 58. The former Department of Labour employees are allegedly accused of colluding with Jones Modau (31), a physiotherapist based in Rustenburg, North West.
