MTN Ghana, the number one telecommunications services provider in Ghana achieved another distinct milestone in the telecommunication service industry when it hit 11million subscribers last week. And to celebrate this, the company has lined up a host of activities to reward its subscribers.
The celebration, dubbed "Raining 11 on MTN", will reward all 11 million subscribers with freebies, across the various services offered by MTN.
From today, all subscribers will be able to make 11 minutes of free calls over the next two months, data users will get 50% bonus on all data bundles purchased and 20% discount on pay- as-you-go.
Retailers of MTN products and services will also be recognized for activating new subscribers unto the MTN network.
Other packages include the giveaway of airtime on selected radio stations across the country. In this offer, the recharge numbers will be mentioned and the fastest finger to load them gets the airtime for free.
Since its entry into the Ghanaian telecommunications market, MTN has made significant investments in the deployment of state-of-the-art infrastructure aimed at delivering innovative world class telecommunications services to its subscribers.
The company has also shown consistent commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility activities. As a result, MTN has won massive subscriber loyalty.
Announcing the new milestone, the Chief Executive Officer of MTN, Michael Ikpoki expressed MTN's excitement at achieving this significant milestone, 10 months after celebrated its 10 millionth subscriber milestone.

We shall continue to maintain and extend our relentless tradition and culture of pursuing excellence as we celebrate this milestone by thinking ahead of our customers and in foreseeing their needs, and strategically setting our minds on unveiling a new era in the field of telecommunication in Ghana", he said.

The ceremony was also used to launch the second edition of the MTN Data Month, dubbed i-FEST. The Chief Marketing Officer, Rahul De, gave highlights of the month long activity. He said, "Internet usage is increasingly becoming the vogue of our society, voice seems to have peaked at over 90% and creating exciting packages for data is the most appropriate route presently and at MTN we continue to develop relevant products and services that will allow easy access to the internet". "MTN is dedicated to offering EXCITING & ENGAGING, SIMPLE and CUSTOMER FRIENDLY data services", he added.
He assured subscribers that MTN will explore the most advanced technologies in their operations to ensure the provision of quality services to satisfy customer needs.
