Luanda — The Angolan participation in the London 2012 Paralympics games, ended on September 09, was considered as positive by the head of the delegation to the event, António da Luz, Angop has learnt.
António da Luz said that this is due to the conquest of two medals, one of gold and other of bronze by the runner José Armando Sayovo, as well as the individual evolution of the four members of the national squad.
The source also mentioned that fact of the Angolan athletes surpassed their personal records, during the competition.
"We outlined as the main goal Angola position on the podium, independently from the kind of the medal. If we could get three gold it would be better, but we have to recognize that these were the most difficult games, since Angola debut in Atlanta1996", he said.
