Angola: José Sayovo Gets AKZ 2.0 Million Award

Luanda — The Angolan visual disabled runner José Armando Sayovo received on Thursday in Luanda a AKZ 2.0 million award for his triumph in London2012 Paralympic Games.

The awarded was given by the Ministry of Youth and Sport. In the games, held from August 29 to September 9, the Angolan athlete won two medals, namely one gold and one bronze in the categories of 400 metres and 200 metres, respectively.

In the awarding ceremony, the Minister of Youth and Sport, Gonçalves Muandumba said that José Sayovo showed once again that he is a full-body athlete with references in the world of sport.

To the minister, José Sayovo represents one of the symbols of the Angolan sport, showing once again that he is one of greatest Angolan sportsmen that continues to elevate the name of Angola and its flag beyond the border.
