Eritrea: Youths in Gash Barka Region Call for the Set Up of Necessary Infrastructures

Barentu, 16 Sunday 2012- In a meeting they conducted in Barentu with Mr. Mohamed Hamd, Administrator of Gash Barka region, the youths of the region called for the establishment of youth centers and the provision of materials that could help them reinforce their academic and arts capacity.

The youths expressed that the existing youth centers are not well equipped and called on the regional administration to step up efforts to reinforce the existing ones with necessary materials and to establish more youth centers in cooperation with other concerned institutions.

The Administrator on his part indicated that the regional administration is exerting every effort to encourage the youths develop their capacity and that the necessary instruments are on the process of procurement for those who have art inclination. He further called on the youths to keep up activities until their demands are met.

Furthermore, Mr. Zerisenai Tesfai, Head of NUEYS of the region, explained that a congress would be conducted in the near future in which all concerned institutions and organization would participate aimed at alleviating the existing challenges of the youths of the region.
