TANZANIA Students Organization has organized an international conference to discuss on issues pertaining to life and challenges surrounding youths in Africa.
Addressing a news conference in Dar es Salaam, the Programme Coordinator Mr Franck Mushi said the conference will be held in Dar es Salaam from October 14 to 18 this year.
Mr Mushi, who is also the Sales Director for International Students' Organization, said the event will bring together over 400 youths from various countries in Africa. "This will be the biggest youth gathering, bringing over 400 youths from East Africa and around the World to Tanzania," he said.
Mr Mushi named some of the countries that will participate as Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia. The event, according Mr Mushi, will be facilitated by AIESEC, the world's largest students' driven organization. He said the conference will discuss on youths contributions to the East African Community (EAC), youths leadership and employment in Africa and capacity building among youths in Africa.
On the other hand, the President of AIESEC in Tanzania Mr Enoch Wong said the conference aims at developing young leaders who will impact the society in a positive way. "This is going to redefine the history of Tanzania and will give us (youths) an opportunity to show the world our potential," he noted.
