Luanda — Angolans are marking on Monday the National Hero's Day, in homage to the country's first president, the late Dr António Agostinho Neto, who was born on 17 September 1922.
Agostinho Neto is also elevated for his contribution, as a leader, to the struggle for national liberation from the colonial Portuguese regime, which culminated with the proclamation of independence on 11 November 1975.
