Tanzania: Lyon Vow to Honour Zantel Deal

MAINLAND Premier League side, African Lyon, has vowed not to back off from its plan to use jerseys bearing a logo of mobile phone service providing firm, Zantel, despite the decision by Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) to block the team from doing so.

Lyon's manager, Rahim Kangezi, said his team will meet TFF president, Leodegar Tenga, and the League Committee to discuss the matter and secure a go ahead to use the jerseys. Lyon had, earlier on Saturday, announced to have secured sponsorship from Zantel and went on to confirm that the team will use jerseys bearing the company's logo alongside a logo of the Mainland Premier League's official sponsors, another mobile phone service providing company, Vodacom.
