Nigeria's Flying Eagles will take on their Benin Republic counterpart in Cotonou today in a warm-up match ahead of the AYC qualifier in South Africa.

The Nigeria U20 left Ilorin, venue of their training base yesterday for Cotonou. They will return to Lagos after their match in Benin Republic and fly out to South Africa early next week. The Benin Republic are also in the reckoning for a place at the 2013 AYC, as they face Senegal in a second round qualifier after they eliminated Cote d'Ivoire 3-0 on aggregate in the previous round.

The Flying Eagles match against the Amajita of South Africa is fixed for Saturday in Nelspruit, which is about two hours by road from Johannesburg.

The overall winner of this clash will qualify for the 2013 African Youth championship to be staged by Algeria in March.

The Flying Eagles are currently the defending champions.
