Egypt: Mursi Approves Amending Law of Weaponry

President Mohamed Morsi will approve within few days a resolution law amending the law no. 384 of the year 1954 concerning weapons and ammunition after the cabinet under Prime Minster Hisham Qandil had agreed on it.

The amendments include exempting from punishment each one possesses firearms or ammunition without a license, if theses weapons were delivered to any security directorate or department or police station within 180 days as of the amendments enter into force.
