The Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) Committee has asked the four contractors handling the Abuja-Lokoja road dualisation project to hasten work.

Speaking during inspection of the project, Deputy chairman of the panel, General Mamman Kontagora (rtd) said the four contractors have received additional payments from the SURE-P. In a statement, the committee urged the contractors to do everything within their capacity to progress the construction works to a level that will lessen the traffic congestion yearly suffered by travelers during Christmas and New Year rush.
