Nigeria: Osun to Spend N1.15 Billion On Varsity Road, Govt. House

Osogbo — The Osun State government has awarded contracts at the cost of N1,15 billion for the construction of an access road to the Osun State University main campus and beautification of Government House. The construction of access road to the university was awarded to Mssrs Kudwin Investment Nigeria Limited at N621 million while the beautification of the Government House was awarded to Mssrs Red Project Services Limited at the cost of N64 million.

The third project which is the identification and verification of artisans, traders, school children and other residents in the state was awarded to Mssrs Chams Plc at the cost of N467 million. Addressing journalists, the state's Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Sunday Akere, said the university road contract was awarded through a contractor-financing arrangement and that the completion period for the project is nine months. He said mobilization fee of 15 per cent would be paid to the contractor.
