The site of the suicide car bombing in Kabul: After consulting with the families of the deceased, the government released their names.

"As we mourn the death of colleagues at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, we offer our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the South Africans who lost their lives in Kabul today," Donald H. Gips, US Ambassador to South Africa. "This vicious attack again shows that the insurgents have no respect for human life. As Secretary Clinton has said, there is never any justification for violent acts of this kind."
