The case in which 13 MDC-T activists are accused of holding a meeting in Dulibadzimu Township here against a police order has been postponed to October 4 for continuation of trial. This comes a few weeks after the group's application for refusal of further remand was turned down. The meeting was for the party's district leadership training programme and was held on February 24.
The 13 wanted the case struck off the roll, saying they had no case to answer. The suspects who include two Beitbridge Town councillors Patricia Ndlovhu and Win Mutasa are being charged with contravening a section of the Public Order and Security Act.
