Namibia: Windhoek Detainees Boycott Prison Meals

A NUMBER of trial-awaiting prisoners detained in cells at the Windhoek police station refused to eat their breakfast yesterday, saying the food was inedible.

The prisoners told The Namibian that they were not allowed to receive food brought to them by their visiting relatives. This, they said, was one of the reasons that prompted them to refuse to eat their breakfast yesterday.
