Egypt: El-Sisi - All-Out Development Solution for Return of Security in Sinai

Minister of Defense Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said the restoration of security in the Sinai could be achieved only through all-out development, affirming that the people of Sinai have a big role in supporting the armed forces and the police eliminate criminal and Takfiri elements.

The minister added that the armed forces are keen to keep civilians safe from the crackdown on criminal elements in the peninsula.

During his visit to the Military Academy on Tuesday 18/9/2012, he said the promotion for leading posts in the armed forces is based on precise criteria affirming that his principal mission is to maintain the integrity, strength and stature of the military forces.
