Emo Adams and his band, Take Note were bringing humour to the people of Namibia.
The South African actor, singer and producer presented his new show 'Emo Gaan Skool Toe'r' to Namibian audiences as of September 13. The tour was supposed to run until Tuesday, September 25.
However, due to lack of tickets sales the Namibian promoter, Suzy Kearns decided to cancel the rest of the tour. The show on September 18 in the Walvisbay Community Hall, Nangola Mumba Drive, was the final performance.
Fans of the versatile performer in Swakopmund, Windhoek, Gobabis and Rehoboth will unfortunately not be able to see him on stage, as previously advertised.
Adams has been performing for more than 15 years in the South African entertainment industry covering stage and television respectively and is best known for his collaborations with David Kramer and the Late Taliep Petersen, specifically for his role in 'District 6: The Musical' and 'Kat & the Kings'. The 'Jou Show met Emo', his reality show has became one of the most popular shows on KykNet and is currently in its eighth season.
For 'Emo Gaan Skool Toe'r', Adams roped in long time friend Andries Vermeluen to add to the madness and his side kick Ashley Pienaar. This is bound to be an exciting show with the 'tongue and cheek' band and Adams being the Clean Cut School Boy. The principal Andries Vermeulen is completely outnumbered and they have nerdy Ashley Pienaar to deal with. Old School Classics take you back to the good ole school days with all the popular hits of yesteryear including popular Cape Malay songs.
